NCOC special team led by Dr Faisal sultan visited various hospitals in Karachi including Indus, Jinnah Post Graduate Med Centre Civil Hospital , Liaqat National Hospital , Agha Khan University Hospital as part of NCOC efforts to share experiences with each other and help local administration in capacity building and capability enhancement and possible assistance from NCOC.
Dr Faisal Sultan also met provincial leadership.National covid 19 effort, actions taken thus far & future course of action discussed. Dr Faisal offered all possible assistance from NCOC to help overcome future covid future challenges
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) today reviewed measures taken by the provisional authorities to ensure strict compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), overall status of health care equipment, Epi Curve Chart and update on “we care project” for healthcare workers.
The provisional chief Secretaries including the Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir updated the forum on action taken for SOPs compliance and smart lockdowns implemented in the areas with maximum COVID 19 cases reported. Chief Secretary Punjab informed the forum that sufficient number of beds are available to cope up the challenges
Forum was briefed about the launch of Resource Management a real-time IT Platform about availability and utilization of COVID-19 HDU/ICU beds, ventilators in hospitals all across the country.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health, Dr Zafar Mirza updated the forum about ‘We Care’ campaign for the protection of frontline healthcare workers fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic across the country. Over all 20000 Front Line Health Workers (FLHWs) have been trained in a space of 2 months through training videos, PPE Guidelines and provisional course as part of training of 100000
NCOC Forum was apprised about the launch of specially designed mobile application “Pak Nighaban” with the help of Ministry of Health about the availability of ventilators and beds in hospitals all across country. Initially associated with 1110 hospitals all across country this application will be supportive to get data about beds and ventilators by emergency responders, Health care workers and citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Ministry of Planning Development & Special Initiatives Asad Umer emphasized to hammer SOPs compliance in the masses whereas the positive outcome of enforcement should also be projected at the forum and media. He suggested the provincial chief secretaries to take the opportunity of traders’ associations contacting with media to make them realize their self-responsibility for implementing the SOPs in the markets. He mentioned that the government had two pronged strategy focusing on disease spread control and upgrading the healthcare system with effective deployment.

*Balochistan*
776 violations have been observed due to which 699 Markets and 77 transports/vehicles were closed
*Punjab*
Special teams were made for checking various markets, bazaars / transport & industrial areas. 158 markets, 11 industries, 232 transports were closed in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rwp, Gujarat, Multan on 1625 SOP violations all across provience. Smart lock down has been imposed in 617 areas covering 160,000 population
*Sindh*
Effective media campaign has helped in public awareness and compliance and checking mechanism.
*KP*
9444 SOP violations were observed in which 35 markets, 37 industries and 82 Transports were sealed. In KP smart lock down has been imposed in 251 areas covering 9,800 population
*GB*
440 markets while 13 industries and 297 transport were sealed on 1657 violations of health guidelines/ instructions.
*ICT*
800 SOPs violations were marked in ICT. 83 markets, 22 industries and 42 transports were sealed. Smart lockdown has been imposed in 9 areas of ICT covering 10,000 people
*AjK*
In AjK 161 SOPs violations were observed during which 26 markets and 130 transport were sealed. Smart lockdown has been imposed in 7 areas covering 1800 pers.
